VK says pays 3 mln rbl to ethical hackers for uncovered flaws

MOSCOW, Oct 18 (PRIME) -- Russian Internet company VK has paid white hat hackers 3 million rubles, VK said on Tuesday in a statement.

“VK received 300 reports about vulnerabilities of the company from external experts in three months of work of the bug bounty program on platform Standoff 365 Bug Bounty, developed by Positive Technologies,” the company said.

“The VK experts found more than half of the reports important, and the flaws uncovered on their basis were eliminated.”

Over 50 security researchers were rewarded with 3 million rubles. The payments varied from 3,000 to 750,000 rubles depending on severity of the flaw.
